
Submission Information & Guidelines
At Scīre, we value intellectual curiosity and student-led inquiry. Thus, we encourage writers to submit pieces on generally any interdisciplinary topic in our two core disciplines of science and history. If you would like to clarify the viability of your topic within our journal’s themes, please do so via email (journal.scire@gmail.com).
Multiple submissions are encouraged and, if accepted, will be periodically rolled out as available articles on our website.
Submissions must be pasted into or attached in Google Form in the form of pdf, Docs, or Word file (form must still be completed). Links or any other forms of submission will be ignored. Include a bibliography (MLA) in your submission.
Submission length is flexible. We suggest stand-alone articles to have a reading time between one and five minutes.
Maintain prose form.
Please proof-read your work prior to submission. Sophistication in style is encouraged, but not required. Aim for a word count of 500+.
Previously published pieces should be indicated as such on the submission form.
Use of generative AI is strictly prohibited, and will be screened for during the review process.
Authors utilizing rhetoric promoting hate speech, bigotry, or other forms of discrimination will be denied and blacklisted. Pieces which meaningfully discuss the above in an academic context must be labeled as such in the “Notes” section of the Google Form.
Submissions should not feature explicit sexually erotic content or unnecessary gore. If the topic at hand requires sensitive topics to be discussed, they must be done so in a professional, academic manner.
Our average response time is within 1-2 weeks of the submission. If you would like personalized, free feedback, please note that in your submission (will not affect turnover time).
